As highly motivated and self driven person I love to create virtual experiences.
When I created my very first program and game over 22 years ago, it has paved the path for my future until today. I have created multiple games during my spare time as solo developer and I'm still working on my private game projects to increase my skill and ability. I love to try new techniques, learn and grow. Constant self improvement is super important to me.
I'm grateful to be able to work in the gaming industry and to do what I really love, every single day.
With "NHRA - Speed For All" I was part of an incredible team which led to the release of my first world wide multiplatform game.
If I have anything learned since I work now in the games industry is that I love to connect people, to fill bridges and to help everyone reaching goals. Together, as a team and a vision. Besides of all the programming work I do, I really love art. As programmer with a good understanding how art works, the needs and requirements of artists for their daily life I'm in an ideal position to connect both worlds.
I was very fortunate to find Team6 who were willing to give me a chance on my game development journey. I started as Senior Programmer (Unreal Engine, C++) and after some time took the lead role to take care of the programming team.
My latest project "NHRA - Speed For All" covered tech integrations/implementation (C++) for systems such as
- Vehicle / Vehicle part system
- High performance vehicle deformation / destruction
- Vehicle customization
- Vehicle tuning systems
- Vehicle parachutes
- Vehicle integrity system
- System to provide dynamic sponsor textures
- High fidelity and performant 3d crowds
- Technical integration of characters and drivers (technical animation)
- Race replay system
- Technical weather system
- Tooling / tech to support the art department
- Various Blender scripts to streamline art development
- Creation of multiple Unreal Engine plugins
Besides of tech work I also helped out with some art related tasks like creation of character animations, material/shader work and optimization.
I founded Heideland GameWorks for a fresh start and to release my solo developed games "Ancient Rush 2" and "AnShi".
Working within the Industry 4.0 environment. Responsible for full factory automation and defect management systems. Customer consultation and development of custom software solutions, working in international teams. The projects included customers like Globalfoundries, Bosch, Infineon, Hewlett Packard, HSEB and others.
I have founded "EastForge Entertainment" to develop and release game experiences during my early days of game development. I closed the company as I wanted to found Heideland GameWorks for a fresh new start.
